Lyme Regis Christmas Lights Switch-On: A Festive Day of Fun

The festive season is set to sparkle in Lyme Regis with the grand Christmas lights switch-on event happening on Saturday, 23rd November 2024, at 5pm in Broad Street. It’s a day brimming with holiday cheer and activities for the whole family, sure to attract both locals and visitors alike.

Here’s what’s in store for the afternoon:

2pm: Get creative at the Christmas lantern workshop in the Pine Hall of Lyme Regis Baptist Church. This free event invites children and adults to craft their own lanterns, with all materials provided.

4pm: The crafted lanterns will be judged in the Pine Hall, with prizes awarded for the best entries across various age categories. If you’ve made a lantern at home, you’re welcome to enter it into the competition.

5pm: Enjoy performances by the Lyme Regis Majorettes, Fitsteps, and Lyme Morris in Broad Street, followed by a parade of Christmas lanterns. The excitement builds as we await Santa’s arrival on his sleigh, who will lead the countdown to the big switch-on!

It’s a day not to be missed, filled with creativity, community spirit, and the magic of Christmas. See you there!
