Bere host their rivals today at 12.30pm with both sides looking to put the disappointment of defeat behind them as the new 50 over format continues.
Gautham Rajendar’s Dorchester fell agonisingly short of victory against Wimborne as they lost by 11 runs whilst Brian Keegan’s Bere side lost to Sherborne by 49 runs.
With both teams tied with a equal points total of 14.4, the second and third placed teams will be vying to claim victory and close the gap on leaders Poole Town.
However, the weather may play some part as light rain is forecast through the day.
Dorchester skipper Rajendar said: “It’s been a few difficult weeks but we’re looking to get back on track here. Hoping the weather holds up for us to get a whole game.”
Bere Regis skipper Keegan confirmed that his side is looking forward to renewing rivalries with Dorchester.
He said: “The Dorchester games are always competitive and Saturday will be no different.
“Both teams are coming into the game on the back of disappointing results from last weekend.
“We need to bounce back quickly and are still searching for game consistency – that search will continue on Saturday”.
Dorchester make three changes with skipper Rajendar unavailable alongside Dan Belt and Aviral Singh. Harry Jones, Will Maltby and Jamie Stewart come in.
Bere make four changes from last weekend, with Sam Goodhew, Jacob Kennard, Rich Payne and Cam Robertson replacing Dave Griffiths, Adam Raymond, Pete Russell and Theo Talbot.

With just 67 points to their name Bere will be hoping to turn things around with a rare win or risk falling further behind.
Billy Baker’s Dorchester on the other hand are pushing towards the top and sit in fourth place and within touching distance of leaders Shillingstone just 26 points behind.
